Colbert: “Hermaphrodites Can’t Be Gay!”

Friday February 5, 2010 6:42 AM

With all of the talk about repealing America’s “Don’t ask, don’t tell” policy prohibiting gay people from serving in the military, a couple of people have argued that hermaphrodites don’t have a right to serve. Which confused Stephen Colbert last night, because as he aptly pointed out, hermaphrodites cannot be gay because they have both parts — so they only can be straight, double straight or double gay. Which sounds quadruple awesome, doesn’t it. At least when Colbert explains it.

For more refreshing Colbert clips, watch Colbert sang about Christmas with Elvis Costello, as well as the time Colbert duets with Alicia Keys.
